Larry Bate Takang is as well a stage actor and director. He was the director of the now defunct Buea based Arena Theatre Troupe. He has acted in several stage plays amongst them:
“Departure to the Land of Glory” by Ntube Francis
“My Choice” by Ekane John Esong
“No Body is safe Except…” by Eyong Peter etc.
He also acted in a few Radio Plays and in one, acted alongside renown Journalists at the Cameroon Radio And Television Corporation (CRTV Yaoundé).
He has also taking part in academic debates…a hobby he is very passionate about. It is always a thrill for him when he dramatizes one of his several poems to live audiences. Something he has done for several years and in front of different kinds of audiences around the whole. Many of his poems have been acclaimed and some published in Newspapers and Magazines.
Larry Bate also loves playing the role of Master of ceremony (MC) in big occasions or moderating Conferences or Seminars. He was one of the Masters of Ceremony during the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) 50th Anniversary Celebrations in Limbe, Cameroon in 1997. CDC is a state-owned agro-industrial enterprise and the second highest employer after the Cameroon Government.
For the past seven years, he has constantly been chosen by the Cameroonian Embassy in the Hague, the Netherlands to run annual National Day celebrations as Master of ceremony.
Finally Larry has been interviewed by several publications and media operations. He has therefore appeared in several publications. He has currently written more than 900 published articles in Newspapers, Magazines and websites (Online).
