Larry Bate Takang is an Award winning Journalist; Writer (Poet, Playwright, Novelist); and Press Consultant. He has 20 years of Journalism experience in electronic, print and online Journalism. He has worked in Radio, Television, print and online media. He has also written more than 1000 published articles for both the print and online media.

He is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of African Celebrities Magazine-(ACM), (an International Magazine published in the Netherlands). He is also the Founder and Executive Director of an International Media Organization; Africa Press International (API),, with Headquarters in the Netherlands.

Education and Professional Development:

He has undergone studies and training in Journalism and Mass Communication in Ahmadu Bello University -Zaria-Nigeria; Bournemouth University Media School, England; Radio France Internationale, (RFI) in Paris, France (in Radio Programs Production & Private Radio Management); Regional News Network Channel 7 (RNN7) TV Station in Rotterdam, the Netherlands (to improve on his Television reporting and news gathering skills).

He has also undertaken other studies with the International Correspondence Institute (ICI), Springfield, Missouri-USA; United European Detective High School, (U.E.D.H), Brussels-Belgium (from where he obtained a Private Detective Diploma); and Albeda College Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Larry Bate Takang is a member of the Association of European Journalists (AEJ); the Netherlands Association of Journalists (NVJ), and the International Journalists Network (IJN). He was Interim Secretary of Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ).

He is the Founder/Executive Director of Africa Press International (API); and Founder/Editor-in-Chief of African Celebrities Magazine (ACM).
